Make photos smaller. Your originals stay as they are.
Choose 500 KB, 1 MB, 2 MB, 5 MB or 10 MB. Each photo is saved at the highest quality that fits under that size. If the lowest quality is still too large, the app makes the photo smaller in pixels until it fits.
Sets the longest edge in pixels. The other edge follows, so the aspect ratio stays the same. Original keeps the full size.
Transparent areas become white in JPEG.
If the compressed copy would be larger than the original, the app keeps the original instead. This happens when a photo was already saved at a lower quality, or is already under the size limit.
The capture date, camera and lens are kept in the copy. Turn on Remove location to leave out GPS data. Set the default in Settings.
The app never deletes your originals. To free up space, delete the originals yourself in Photos after you check the copies.
If the photo grid is empty, photo access is off. Turn it on in Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos → Photo Compressor, or import photos from Files.
One photo that cannot be read does not stop the batch. Tap Retry to try it again. If a photo is too large or no longer on the device, choose another photo.
All photos are processed on your device. Nothing is uploaded. See the privacy policy.
