Summary

VolMax does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. Everything stays on your device.

What data is stored

VolMax uses your browser's local storage (chrome.storage.local) to remember:

• Per-tab audio settings (volume, EQ, toggles) — deleted when the tab closes
• Saved profiles (name + settings) — persists until you delete them
• Support banner dismiss flag

This data never leaves your browser. It is not sent to any server, analytics service, or third party.

Permissions explained

• activeTab / tabs — needed to identify the current tab and apply per-tab volume settings
• scripting — needed to inject the audio processing script into pages after an extension update
• storage — needed to save your volume settings and profiles locally
• host_permissions (<all_urls>) — needed so the content script can capture and boost audio on any website

Network access

VolMax makes zero network requests. It does not contain analytics, telemetry, tracking pixels, or ads. There is no server component.

Third-party services

None. VolMax is entirely self-contained.

Data sharing

Your data is never shared with anyone. VolMax has no mechanism to transmit data externally.

Changes to this policy

If this policy is ever updated, the changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. The core commitment — no data collection — will not change.
